NOMA

Private household management — by invitation

Some houses hereseem to runthemselves.

They don’t.

Noma is a private service for a small number of homes in Playa del Carmen. Members send a message. The rest is handled.

La membresía

Membership is one arrangement, one monthly figure and one number to message.

The house cleaned while you are at lunch. Dinner cooked and waiting, labelled, still warm at eight. The dogs walked at four, the children collected at two, the air conditioning repaired before you knew it was failing. Groceries appear; gas tanks do not run out. You write “guests on Saturday, eight people” and on Saturday there are flowers, ice and someone at the door.

The people in your house are our people: properly employed, insured, trained and known to us for years. No apps. No strangers from a marketplace. No ratings to give at the end. The same faces, on time, and gone before you notice they were there.

How it works, in three moves

You write.

A message, in whatever app you already use. “The pool man never came.” “Cena para seis, algo ligero.” “We land at midnight.” That is the entire interface. There is no other one.

It is handled.

Your household manager answers within minutes and takes it from there: schedules, keys, vendors, payments, the polite insistence that things be done properly. You are consulted exactly as much as you wish to be.

The house is quiet.

You come home to cold air, clean floors, a full fridge, dogs already fed. The only evidence that anything happened is that there is no evidence at all.

— and so on, for every house, all year.

Why you may not have heard of us

We serve a limited number of households in Playa del Carmen.

That number is the point. We take on a new house only when a manager can carry it without any other member noticing, which is to say slowly, and some months not at all. We do not advertise, and most members arrive the old way: over dinner, from someone who was made to promise discretion and didn’t quite keep it.

If we cannot take you now, we will say so plainly, and keep your letter for when we can.

The invitation

Membership is by invitation: ours, or a member’s.

Leave an address. If a place opens, we write back. We do not send newsletters; we send one email, once, when it matters.

For a second home that spends most of the year alone, there is NOMA Casa, a monthly maintenance plan.
